Copper Mountain

In the summer of 2006, the "B" and "B1" double chair lifts were replaced with the high-speed detachable Superbee six passenger chairlift. The high-speed detachable quad chairlift, The Excelerator, has replaced the "E" lift to the intermediate and advanced terrain in the upper reaches of Copper Mountain.

In the winter, Copper Mountain offers back country skiing, dog sledding, ice skating, skiing, snow mobile tours, sleigh rides, Nordic skiing and gambling.

Summer activities abound with mountain biking, boating, gold mine tours, Alpine slide, horseback riding, fishing, ATV tours, golf, hiking rafting and kayaking, hunting, Jeep tours and camping.

Restaurants:

• Blue Moose Pizza offers New York style thin crust pizza, salads and fries. Located slope side near the American Eagle lift. No reservations needed. Eat in or call for take-out 800-881-8497
• JJ's Rocky Mountain Restaurant and Tavern has turn of century atmosphere with juicy steaks, seafood, chicken and vegetarian fare. East Village at Copper Mountain. Reservations accepted by calling 800-881-8497
• Camp Hale is a coffee and breakfast bar where your ski or casual attire is welcome. Grab your grub on the run or sit down with a drink from the cappuccino bar to relax at 1) first floor of Copper One at the Adventure Center at the base of American Eagle or 2) first floor Copper Station at the base of Superbee.
• Endo's Adrenaline Café serves enormous sandwiches, appetizers and specialty drinks in the lower level of the Mountain Plaza building.
