Bathed with sunshine during the day and cooled down by ocean breezes during the night, this lovely setting, with its grove of magnificent redwood trees, always pleases its fortunate visitors.

Mandarin Skies is opulent with an Asian flavor, comfortable and inviting, perfect for large get togethers as well as a cozy space for two. This very open, light, and spacious home (2,900 sq.ft.) offers designer furnishings, slate floors in the living area, tiled fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom, and walls of glass overlooking splendid views. The gourmet kitchen has every amenity for glamorous dining affairs to ribs on the BBQ. The kitchen is well equipped serving your needs in style down to the napkin rings, including a cuisinart, ice-maker, and Belgian waffle-maker. Outdoor patio dining off the hot tub is also available for watching sunsets and the deer that frequent the apple trees.

Sleeping 9, Mandarin Skies has three bedrooms (two with queen beds, one with a double and a twin) and a queen sleeper in the living room, as well as two-and-a-half baths. All the bedrooms have luxury linens and individual charm, with serene redwood views and separate sliding glass doors with deck access.

A special feature of this home is the office located in the sky-lighted library loaded with books, games, puzzles, chess and over 250 videos. There is a desktop computer, fax/printer, and scanner. A wood stove brings ambiance to this lovely work space. Although Mandarin Skies is one of our most romantic retreats, the office set-up makes this house one of our best for working weekends. Two large private decks draped with flowering vines and teak lounge furniture, extend the length of the house facing the forested valley. A side deck provides a hot tub for up to 6, outdoor dining area, a relaxing 2-person hammock and gas barbecue. There is a fenced dog run on one side of the house and an additional deck for entertaining in front of the house. Once you arrive, it's very hard to leave. The serenity is inescapable and leads to the best night's sleep.

Payment Policies

PAYMENTS BY CHECK:
If you are paying by check, we allow you five days to return the signed contract with your payment. If there is sufficient time, you pay 60% of the rent now and the remaining 40% plus tax, cleaning and damage waiver 30 days before your arrival date.

PAYMENTS BY CREDIT CARD:
We accept Master Card and Visa. If you are paying by credit card, you must fax back your signed credit card authorization and the pages of the contract requiring a signature as soon as you've had a chance to review the contract. Generally we expect it the same day. We will charge the entire balance at once. If the booking is to occur within ten days we will require credit card authorization by telephone and the charge will be run that same day.

Once you book a house, that house is off the market to anyone else. Therefore, all payments for bookings are non-refundable unless we re-book the house, in which case there is a $50 cancellation fee. Although we generally do re-book given a reasonable amount of time, there is no guarantee that we will. Full refunds are available if flood warnings affecting your rental are posted within 3 days of arrival date. If prior to or upon your arrival, your house is not available due to any condition or problem beyond our control, we will move you to a reasonably comparable house, providing one is available.
