Location: Wicker House is located on a very quiet, private cul-de-sac in the Cazadero redwoods, right on Austin Creek. Downtown Cazadero's general store with movie rental is a few minutes away. Fabulous shopping, kayak rentals, and dining are about 5 miles away in Duncans Mills. The Pacific Coast is about 10 miles to the west.

House: Wicker House (~900sf) is a stylish cottage, newly remodeled, with amazing views of redwoods and creek. The living room has comfortable wicker furniture, a 32" flat screen TV with DVD, cd player, and a large brick fireplace with gas insert. The kitchen has tile floors and counters, and a gas stove. The dining set seats up to four. From the dining area, sliding doors lead to a deck overlooking the creek. This home has hardwood floors in the living room, dining area, and kitchen, and carpet in the bedroom and sitting room. There's a sitting room with a couch and desk. The bedroom has a king bed with luxurious bedding and its own gas fireplace. The elegant bathroom has a double size shower with two heads. This home has high-speed Internet access.

Grounds: There are a few steps up to Wicker House's wrap-around deck and front door. The deck has a two-person hot tub, gas grill, dining set for two, and lounger, and overlooks the creek. A few steps lead down to the creek itself. This home shares a large garden area and outdoor kitchen with Oar House, another of our rentals, located across the cul-de-sac. In a half circle of redwoods, there's a chess table, hammock, and a large stone-paved patio with loungers, dining sets, charcoal barbecue, fire pit, and glider in a sunny clearing. There's also a small lawn. For evening, there are a number of candelabra stocked with candles and outdoor lights strung from the trees. There's a charming outdoor "kitchen" stocked with all the accoutrements for outdoor dining and lounging, including a small refrigerator. On the side of this cottage, there's an outdoor shower.

Payment Policies

PAYMENTS BY CHECK:
If you are paying by check, we allow you five days to return the signed contract with your payment. If there is sufficient time, you pay 60% of the rent now and the remaining 40% plus tax, cleaning and damage waiver 30 days before your arrival date.

PAYMENTS BY CREDIT CARD:
We accept Master Card and Visa. If you are paying by credit card, you must fax back your signed credit card authorization and the pages of the contract requiring a signature as soon as you've had a chance to review the contract. Generally we expect it the same day. We will charge the entire balance at once. If the booking is to occur within ten days we will require credit card authorization by telephone and the charge will be run that same day.

Once you book a house, that house is off the market to anyone else. Therefore, all payments for bookings are non-refundable unless we re-book the house, in which case there is a $50 cancellation fee. Although we generally do re-book given a reasonable amount of time, there is no guarantee that we will. Full refunds are available if flood warnings affecting your rental are posted within 3 days of arrival date. If prior to or upon your arrival, your house is not available due to any condition or problem beyond our control, we will move you to a reasonably comparable house, providing one is available.
