The property is very spacious, a real plus after spending many family vacations in tight, very cramped surroundings. The lack of cleanliness was a little bothersome; I re-washed all kitchenware and utensils before using them after finding food particles and/or grease on everything I tried to use intially. (I think this probably has more to do with housekeeping double-checking what previous renters had done.) The refrigerator and stove were clean; so were the bathrooms. The toilets overflowed, but someone came fairly promptly to fix them--Americans aren't used to not putting toilet paper in the toilet; that was a hard adjustment to make. The fireplace was hard to work with; the flue never seemed to open fully and smoke backed up, so we didn't use it after a first try. The airflow was inconsistent; heating was hit-or-miss, and sometimes the air was stuffy. Definitely not horrible...we had a great time on the mountain and in the village, and we were never so unhappy that I would have asked to move...it just wasn't top--of-the-line.
