Policies
Payment Policies
An advanced reservation payment will be required to confirm your reservation. Southern Resorts must receive this payment within ten (10) days from the date we take the reservation. This may be paid by cash, personal check, traveler's checks, bank money orders, or credit card (Master Card, Visa, American Express or Discover). The amount of deposit required is typically 35% of the total rental amount, but may vary. The full amount of the reservation deposit will be credited towards your rent at check-in. Some properties require additional payments and balances paid in full prior to arrival. Reservations made under false pretenses of any kind will result in the forfeiture of the reservation/damage deposit and eviction.
A nonrefundable administration fee will be charged to all reservations. The fee includes a Reservation Processing fee and a Damage Waiver fee. This fee covers $2,000.00 of unintentional damage and will be in lieu of a damage deposit.
A $40 cancellation fee will be charged on all cancelled reservations. Your advanced reservation payment will be refunded, except for this Cancellation Fee and nonrefundable Reservation Fee, if you notify Southern Resorts of your cancellation thirty (30) to sixty (60) days prior to your original arrival date for depending on property. A ninety (90) day cancellation is required for monthly rentals. There is no refund of advanced reservation deposits on certain properties and locations. If you do not cancel your reservation within these time limits, you will forfeit your advanced reservation payment. Southern Resorts offers Trip Cancellation & Interruption Insurance, which alters the above policy.
We do not refund rents lost due to cancelled or shortened stays because of weather. We now offer Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance to protect your deposit or rent paid.
